In a lively show dedicated to Ted Heath Orchestra the P D All Star Swing Orchestra performed to a packed house at the Barn in Brookvale Road in Witton Birmingham on Sunday the 14th of September .
Musicians from this amazing big band include members from the Parkinson show and Ted Heath swing orchestra. P D heads the All Star Swing Orchestra which has toured the world and are also reported to be performing with The British Rat Pack.
The British Rat Packs T M, T R and Paul-Hayden made a surprise guest appearance as P D had kept this a secret from his captive audience. The guys performed midway through the second set.
T M sang a medley of Matt Monro songs while T R added his own soulful rendition of Nat King Cole and modern swing arrangement to a Teddy Pendergrass classic. Paul-Hayden blew the crowded house away with Bobby Darrin’s Mack the knife and Nice and Easy by Frank Sinatra.
The British Rat Pack then went on to sing some top classics including New York New York, The lady is a tramp with a gusto of humour that is their own.
You could see The British Rat Pack trio thoroughly enjoying themselves while working with P D and his amazing All Star Orchestra.
